A Statement of Faith – Eustis Community Fellowship Church

What We Believe

As a community of followers of Jesus Christ, Eustis Community Fellowship Church joyfully affirms the faith delivered to us through the Holy Scriptures. With humility and conviction, we stand united on the following core beliefs, drawn from the Word of God.

The Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture

We believe that when correctly interpreted, the Bible is without error in its original manuscripts.
It stands as the inspired, authoritative Word of God, perfectly trustworthy for teaching, rebuking,
correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal, working harmoniously in creation, redemption, and sanctification
(2 Corinthians 13:14).

God as Creator

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal, working harmoniously in creation, redemption, and sanctification
(2 Corinthians 13:14).

The Fall of Humanity

We believe that through one man, Adam, sin entered the world, and death came as a
consequence of sin. Thus, death has spread to all people, for all have sinned (Romans 5:12).

The Person of Jesus Christ (Jesus is God)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human, the promised
Messiah. The Father testified of Him, and He was sent to accomplish salvation for the world
(Matthew 3:17; Matthew 16:16; Galatians 4:4; John 1:14, Philippians 2:7, 1 Timothy 2:5)

The Consequence and Remedy for Sin

We believe that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). Jesus came into the world not to condemn but to save sinners,
offering Himself as a sacrifice for all people’s redemption ( Matthew 20:28; John 3:17,18).

The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ

We believe in the literal death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as attested in the
Scriptures. His victory over death guarantees the hope of eternal life for all who believe (Mark
15:37, 44,46; Mark 16:5-6).

Atonement and Forgiveness

We believe that Jesus paid the full debt of our sin on the cross. Through His sacrificial death,
our sins are forgiven, and we are reconciled to God (Colossians 2:13-14; Romans 3:23;
Romans 5:8; Christ died for the sins of the whole world, offering grace to all (1 John 2:2;
Hebrews 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:18,19).

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe that we are saved by grace, through faith, in Christ alone. This salvation is the gift of
God, not the result of works, but received by trusting in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9; Ephesians
1:13; Romans 1:16; John 3:16).

The Call to Discipleship

We believe that those who are saved are called to be disciples of Christ—ambassadors for His
kingdom, equipped by the Holy Spirit with spiritual gifts for service and growth within the Church
(2 Corinthians 5:17-20; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; 1 Corinthians 3:5-9).

Rewards for Faithful Service

We believe that believers will be rewarded by God for their works done in faith, according to His
gracious promises (1 Corinthians 3:8, 14).

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whom all believers are united into the body of
Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).

The Blessed Hope

We believe in the rapture—the imminent return of Jesus Christ to gather His Church, as
revealed in the Scriptures (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
May these truths guide our worship, fellowship, and witness, as together we seek to glorify God
and make known the hope of the gospel in our generation.
